Every Stay portrait is made by an AI image model from your photos. We're upfront about it because it matters: it's why it's ready in about 20 seconds and costs $19 instead of what a painter charges. It's also why we check the result.

The likeness check

The most common problem with AI pet portraits is that the result looks like a dog, not your dog. So every portrait is compared against your pet's photo, and if the check isn't happy, it tells you so instead of pretending. Each portrait comes with 2 free re-rolls. If it's still clearly not them, ask for a refund within 14 days.

Your photos

We never store the photos you upload. They're used to make and check your portrait, then they're gone. We don't make face scans or keep any biometric data. Portraits you buy are kept for 12 months from purchase so you can download them, then deleted. An order you don't pay for is deleted after 30 days.
