The quiet one
A dark charcoal backdrop, a single soft light from the side, and the two of you with your foreheads together and your eyes closed. People choose this look when the picture is about the bond, not the place. Nothing in the frame competes with you two.
Why it's hard to get for real
A real version needs a photographer, a studio and a dog who will rest their head against yours for more than one second. Most dogs won't. Here you send a normal photo of you and a normal photo of them, and the portrait does the holding still.
Good photos to send
For you: facing forward or a little to the side, hair roughly how you usually wear it. For your pet: a clear photo where you can see their face and the color of their coat. Dark coats are fine; the side light is kind to them. Cats work too, if yours would ever allow this.
