Your photos

We never store the photos you upload. The photo of you and the photo of your pet are sent to our image model to make your portrait and to check the likeness, and then they are gone. We do not make or keep face scans, face templates or any other biometric data. Your browser keeps them for this visit only (so they survive the payment page) and clears them when you start over.

Your finished portraits

Portraits you pay for, and their gift links, are kept for 12 months from your purchase so you can come back, download and re-roll. Then they are deleted. An order you do not pay for (with any previews) is deleted after 30 days. Anyone who has your portraits link can see them, so treat the link like a private photo. Gift links work the same way. We keep a record of each sale (order, email, amount, date) for our accounts and refunds for as long as tax and accounting law requires; it is not deleted with the portraits.

What else we store

An anonymous id for your browser (not your name, email or phone number).
Which looks you picked and which you unlocked.
A record of purchases (amount, date, and the email you gave Stripe for your receipt). We use that email to send you your portrait links once, and again only when you ask for them at stayphoto.com/find. No marketing. So that page can find your orders, we also keep a one-way hash of that email (not the address itself) for as long as the order is kept; it is deleted with the order.
Basic usage events (like "portrait made") to see what is working.
Your IP address, for one day only, to limit how many photo checks, previews and link requests one network can make. It is deleted the next day. A link request also keeps a one-way hash of the email you typed for that day, to limit requests per address.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your purchase is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service: Link is the seller of record, works out and pays any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* STAYPHOTO. We never see or store your card number.

Who sees this

We don't sell your data. We use these providers: OpenRouter and Google (AI models that make and check your portrait; photos are sent for that one request), Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting and storage), Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot check when you start an order, which sees your IP address and browser details) and Meta (ads, see below). Our fonts are hosted by us, and we use no analytics scripts or session recording.

Our home page and look pages use the Meta pixel. It sets a cookie and tells Meta which of those pages you visited and which looks you picked, along with your IP address and browser details, so we can measure our ads and show ads to people who have visited. It never runs on your portraits page or a gift page, and Meta never gets your photos, your portraits, your name or your email. To opt out, use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, or change your ad settings in your Meta account.
